The Solar Challenge pits the skills of students statewide and nationally to build and race solar powered model vehicles and boats. Building engineering and modern technology skills as well as cooperation and organisation are primary aims for students.

The committee supports the Solar Challenge in a practical way with skills and organisation of equipment and provides continued support of the school’s participation in the Solar Challenge.
